Magneti Marelli to Supply Electronics System to MotoGP Teams

Wed, 26 Sep 2012

It’s no secret that promoter Dorna Motorsports has been trying to push a standardized electronics control unit for teams in the MotoGP World Championship. The lack of a top-tier electronics package has been one of the biggest challenges faced by MotoGP’s claiming rule teams, and a spec ECU would narrow the gap between the CRT bikes and the factory prototypes. Alas, nothing of the sort has ever left the lips of Kawasaki, let alone go into production. Recently, however, the French motorcycle website, Moto-net.com, has produced convincing images that appear like photos of a complete Versys 1000, including matching hard luggage.

Honda CRF450R Gets Further Refined for 2014

Tue, 14 May 2013

The CRF250R received a significant update for 2014, including a new frame and dual-exhaust setup first introduced in the CRF450R  which itself received a substantial update year. The current-generation CRF450R may only be a year old, but that didn’t stop Honda from introducing a couple of refinements for 2014. For 2014, Honda had tweaked the engine, adding new intake and exhaust ports and a new dual-timing fuel injection setup.
