Honda CL description

Hello and good day.

This auction is for a 1971 Honda CL100 Scrambler. Purchased used a few weeks ago, I have now decided to sell it as it is currently with a clear title.

I believe the condition of the bike to be good. The engine runs normally, the lights function properly, and a carburetor from a previous owner has been recently installed. In addition, fresh fluids were inserted into the bike before the last purchase. I had purchased this bike without the right mirror, and there is only one key to the motorcycle. Please be sure to view and evaluate the images thoroughly before making a bid.

If you are a collector (or a restorer) interested in this class of motorcycles, then this bike may be of use to you. As well (if you enjoy riding these types of bikes in their current state), this bike is acceptable to ride on the road (so long as proper preparations have been made for safety). The rear rack behind the seat will need to be secured before riding, and I would also strongly suggest replacing both tires.

As you may notice in some of the images listed, there is a minor presence of rust in some spots on the bike. Most notably it exists inside the fuel tank, though the engine starts and runs with a few kicks. This bike does not include a warranty of any kind. As a side note: the total mileage may increase over the period of this listing.

If you have any questions in regards to the bike, then please: feel free to ask. I am definitely not an expert on motorcycles, but I will try to assist you the best that I can.

Finally, should you win the auction for this motorcycle, you must pay for any shipping desired. However, I can assist in loading if necessary. A deposit of $500.00 will be expected via PayPal (with the remainder being paid in full at pickup). There will be no refunds on this purchase.

Thanks for reading this much, and I hope that all has been described well enough for a bidder to make an informed decision in purchasing this 1971 Honda CL100 Scrambler.

Have a good day.

Looking for a CBR250R or K1600GTL Forum?

Thu, 07 Apr 2011

Every year in the motorcycling world there are a few new motorcycles that gather the collective interest of enthusiasts across the country. This year those two models included the new entry-level sportbike from Honda, the CBR250R, and the new luxo-touring bike from BMW, the K1600GT and K1600GTL. While enthusiasts are gearing up for delivery of their new bikes there is a place for them to enthusiastically discuss their new purchase, or perhaps, for those who have not yet purchased, a sounding board for their thoughts.

Honda CBR300R Confirmed for Canada for 2015

Tue, 01 Apr 2014

It’s taken a while, but the Honda CBR300R has finally been confirmed for North America, as Honda Canada announced it would be available in the fall as a 2015 model. American Honda has yet to announced whether it would offer the CBR300R, but with today’s announcement of the NM4 and PCX150, we expect the CBR250R replacement will also be coming a a 2015 model. Discuss this at our Honda CBR300 Forum.

Team HRC CRF450 Rally Prototype Video

Fri, 03 Jan 2014

In a just released video HRC Team Director Katsumi Yamazaki describes Honda’s Dakar weapon, the CRF450 Rally. Warning: Yamazaki-san’s monotone delivery manages to snuff the excitement factor of what is an incredibly trick motorcycle, but it’s still interesting to watch. Honda returned to the Dakar Rally for the first time in 24 years in January 2013.
