We did however remove the original tires and mounted the New Dunlop Q3's. Then we tossed the stock brakes replacing them with EBC HH Sintered stoppers! Fork seals and fluid discarded and upgraded with N.O.K. seals, wipers and Bel-ray performance fluid. Exhaust servo removed and battery & stator replaced. Honda Team HRC To Compete In 2014 Dakar Rally
Fri, 20 Dec 2013Today Honda announced that through its official racing arm, Team HRC, the company will be tackling the 2014 Dakar Rally, one of the most grueling off-road races in the world. The race starts on January 5 and lasts until January 18. Five riders—Helder Rodrigues (Portugal), Sam Sunderland (United Kingdom), Javier Pizzolito (Argentina), Joan Barreda (Spain), and Paulo Goncalves (Portugal)—will ride the CRF450 Rally, a rally-racing bike specially developed for the 2014 Dakar.

The process is tedious, and even if permission is granted, there are strict limitations as to what the material may or may not be used for. So when Honda decided to conduct its own private test (which Yamaha also joined), at the Circuit of the Americas, it was free from any and all Dorna mandates.
Day 6 Dakar 2014: Duclos Wins Stage, Palante Found Dead
Fri, 10 Jan 2014Sherco rider Alain Duclos took today’s stage, eight years after his first win in Bamako. With three top five finishes this year Duclos has proven his own increased competitiveness as well as that of the Sherco 450 Rally bike he’s aboard. In more tragic news, the body of Belgian rider, Eric Palante was found Friday morning on a part of the fifth stage route that riders completed on Thursday.
