Honda CB description

Up for sale is a 1983 Honda CB1100F, a one year only bike that is becoming increasingly rare.  This bike needs a cam chain guide, which is the reason for the low price.  It has a recent rebuild on the carbs by Old School Carbs and all the electric works fine.  There is a replacement chain guide available from New Zealand for approx. $300.00.  This is a mod from stock and requires a kit.  Please read carefully and understand that it is NOT a RUNNING bike because of the cam chain guide.
The compression ranges from 170 lbs. to175 lbs. across the cylinders and was running quite well before it broke down.  I have had the engine out and the cases broke to replace a bearing.  All the internals looked good, there was no damage from the bearing failure.  It has 40 k on the engine as far as is known, the numbers do not match, but Honda used different engines off the assembly line.  I will put photos up of the numbers ASAP.
The bike is being sold as is and is for sale locally also so may be pulled from here.  Thanks for looking and be sure to read this carefully.

His accomplishments on two wheels, especially his championships on both Ducati and Honda machinery, are proof. Next week at the MotoGP round at Phillip Island in Australia, Stoner will join a distinct group of riders as he will be officially inducted into the MotoGP Hall of Fame.
