Honda CB description

Offering this Rare 1983 Honda CB1100F Supersport in near mint condition. Stock engine, carbs & airbox. Perfect gas tank and side covers, excellent tail section and front fender. Very good solid stock exhaust. Rebuilt stock Keihin carbs with new Honda NOS floats, tuned and sychronized, New NOS Honda grips, new air filter, new NGK plugs and NGK wires. Runs very strong, and has HUGE torque down low and in the middle, with a clean throttle response everywhere right up to redline. No leaks, and no smoke! Gearbox and clutch are smooth and solid. Wheels are in excellent condition, and brakes work correctly with good power and no drag.

Honda offered this model one year only in '83 as the ultimate evolution of the big air-cooled Twin Cam Honda Fours of the 750F, 900F, 1100F Supersport line. It was a last hurrah really, as the new V-4 Honda's with liquid cooling would be replacing the air cooled inline fours in '84. This bike was converted early in it's life to the standard round headlight style offered in the UK, and in other markets. I don't have the fairing and square headlight. Odometer reads 16987, but can't be verified.

Flaws are few, but I will note them. The seat cover has a small split that hasn't grown, but would need to be re-covered to be perfect. There is is a split in the front fender and light fading, it would need a repair and repainting to be perfect. The tail section has a small place where the decal has been rubbed off, and has light fading. It would need to be repainted with a new decal set, and then cleared over, which the factory neglected to do. None of these flaws are very noticeable, and everyone is always amazed at the bikes age and condition, but I want to disclose them nonetheless.

Clean title in hand.

Questions are welcome. Thanks for looking!

Start the ultimate project bike

Wed, 17 Nov 2010

The base for the ultimate project bike have appeared online, a Honda RC211V. The adverts consist of the supposedly the frame from Valentino Rossi's championship dominating machine from 2003 on eBay and a frame that comes complete with the sexy V5 engine. The eBay listing is currently at $510 and is literally an incomplete frame with the ad stating that it is the 'unfinished basis of replacement RC211V frame, all made in aluminium with CNC machined parts & high quality welding', the bidding is still under the reserve set by the user.

San Francisco Motor Cops Can Chase You Up Stairs + Video

Thu, 13 Mar 2014

Let’s get one thing out of the way: trying to evade the police is dumb. One way or another you’re going to lose. And if you’re thinking of evading a San Francisco motor cop, or a law enforcement officer trained by them, by heading off the beaten path or up a flight of stairs, think again.
