Harley-Davidson shovelhead description

Up for sale one of my personal bikes. This is a matching numbers 1977 Superglide that I have been using as my personal ride for events and shows. It is a super clean tight strong motor and trans that now has approx 1800 miles on since complete rebuild. This is NOT a hacked up thrown together leaking piece of equipment with issues. I build my bikes to ride, I put over 400 miles on it this weekend and it still looks as it did when it came off the table. If you are familiar with my stuff you know how long I have been in this industry and how clean and tight my builds are. And If you are not familiar just google me.
This is a matching numbers 1977, I installed one of my hard tails on the original HD frame retaining the factory VIN# . I do my tails a little different than most adding a little length to the wheelbase and setting the overall stance a little lower. The motor is 80 inches with the S&S super E carb with a Crane cam and it runs real good!, that is all backed up by a BDL Electric start belt drive & a 5 speed trans with a kicker, It also has a Single Fire ignition.
The gas tank is a ORIGINAL AMF SPORTSTER tank that has had fresh clear coat and buffed.
It currently has one of my Big Rig Jockey shift systems on it but would be glad to switch back to factory style hand clutch foot shift for you if you are not comfortable with the jockey.
I mentioned to several people this weekend that it will be for sale soon so I reserve the right to remove this listing at any time for a local sale.
If you have any questions about it please feel free to give me a call 513-885-7433. I am always in the need for donor bikes for upcoming builds so if you have a realistically priced clean shovel or mid 90's softail you would like to throw in for partial payment shoot me some pix and I would be glad to take a look.

Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and payments of this bike. In person pick up's are welcome, My shop is located about 30 miles from Cincinnati Ohio.

Elvis' Harley

Thu, 16 Aug 2012

Today (August 16) it's exactly 35 years since Elvis died (or didn't, depending on your beliefs on the matter) so we thought we'd mark the moment with this – Elvis Presley's own 1956 Harley-Davidson. Elvis is so inextricably linked to Harleys that he's even become subject of an endlessly-circulating internet myth. You know, the one where a guy finds an old Harley for a few bucks, starts to restore it and discovers an 'Elvis' inscription under the seat.

Tue, 11 Mar 2014

Paul James isn’t just another Harley-Davidson employee, he’s one helluva fast rider. For 2014, James will be suiting up for his 20th consecutive season of road racing as he pilots his James Gang/Hoban Brothers Racing Harley-Davidson XR1200 for the AMA Pro Racing Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson series season opener at Daytona International Speedway. And he brings with him a new sponsor and a continued relationship with the VETMotorsports program.
