For Sale is a One of a Kind, 2003 (100th Anniversary Edition Peace Officers Model) Ultra Glide Classic. It is a very unique and valuable bike. The original paint job on it was two tone Blue with Black trim. It was replaced with a set of factory custom paint components from Harleys Custom Paint Shop Series in a Limited Edition Set #125 of 150. The paint alone was $6700.00 There is about $6000 worth of additional chrome on the bike including the chrome wheels, engine treatment, chrome forks, and all the small components. The bike is a model FLHTCUI which is the Ultra Classic Peace Officer Edition (W) model designation in serial number. It has shorty antenna's on it for the CB,WX,AM/FM, CD Stereo that also has onboard intercom. The bike also has a police certified speedometer, full headset communications for drive and passenger, cruise control, and GPS navigator. It also has extended Tour Pack detachable mounting rack along with lumbar support for the passenger.The driver also has a removable backrest. The bike has a $400 Kuryakyn Hypercharger. Included also is two matching helmets size L & XL (that have intercom systems attached), and the original clear high rise windshield. Also, forgot to mention that the bike had two new tires installed at 37,500 miles, and a new heavy duty gel cell battery was installed just two months ago. Drive belt is in excellent condition. Oil and filter change have less than 1000 miles on them.

Harley-Davidson Museum Announces Black Leather Jacket Exhibit

The Harley-Davidson Museum is opening a new exhibit dedicated to an iconic piece of motorcycle culture: the black leather jacket. The “Worn to be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket“  exhibit will showcase the ubiquitous article from many riders’ wardrobe.The exhibit includes over 100 artifacts including jackets designed by fashion houses such as Jean Paul Gaultier and Gianni Versace, as well as jackets worn by celebrities such as Elvis Presley. “The leather jacket symbolizes different things for each person who wears it, whether they are a motorcyclist, celebrity or a top designer,” says Bill Davidson, vice president of the Harley-Davidson Museum.
