Harley-Davidson Touring description

Selling my 1975 FLH.  I've owned this bike for many years, and it has taken me all over the county and has never let me down.  Within the last 3500 miles it has basically been rebuilt front to back.
  • Engine rebuilt from the crank up.  Balanced flywheels, with new rods and crankpin, very smooth bottom end.
  • Top end rebuilt to stock specs, 74" bored .020 over, new stock spec cam, heads rebuilt, and full valve job.
  • Rebuilt S&S Super E carb.
  • Electronic ignition.
  • Rebuilt original ratchet top 4-speed, with all new bearings and seals.
  • New clutch, primary chain, and adjuster.
  • New final drive chain, with new trans and rear wheel sprockets.
  • Rebuilt front end.
  • Rebuilt front and rear brake calipers.
  • New Harley-Davidson wide white wall dunlop tires, and new wheel bearings.
  • New AGM battery.
  • New Le Pera silhouette seat with matching p-pad.
  • New front and rear brake lines, and all new oil lines.
  • New throttle, idle and clutch cable.
This bike is built to ride and I wouldn't hesitate to ride it across the country at any time.  Starter works fine, but if you'd rather kick it it always fires on the 1st or 2nd kick.  I'm truly sad to see this old girl go, but it's still got a lot of miles left in it, and will make the new owner VERY happy.  No disappointments here folks.

Any and all questions will be promptly answered, and more pics can be made available upon request.

Relations between the U.S. and Cuba have been strained for decades but that hasn’t stopped some Cubans from enjoying a piece of Americana. About 70 Cuban Harley-Davidson riders (or “Harlistas” as they call themselves) gathered in the resort town of Varadero for the country’s first-ever Harley-Davidson rally.

Louisiana Bill Updates Maximum Handlebar Height Legislation

Thu, 17 May 2012

Louisiana state lawmakers have approved a bill that would change the maximum height of motorcycle handlebars. Current state law restricts handlebar height to no more than 15 inches above the seat, a somewhat arbitrary level, but a common choice with 17 other states. The House has voted 87-0 in favor of Senate Bill 582 to change the maximum height to the rider’s shoulder level, as measured while sitting on the seat.
