Harley-Davidson Sportster description

This custom painted trike turns heads wherever it goes.  Built using the famed Frankenstein Trike conversion kit, this ultra-stable trike has new tires and brakes all-around, and includes a detachable windshield. Stage I upgrades mean this trike sounds great and has the performance to match its red-hot looks.

Features include:
  • Lockable Corbin leather seat
  • Arlen Ness Air Intake
  • Vance & Hines Short Shot Exhaust
  • Vance & Hines Fuelpak (to ensure proper engine tuning)
  • Custom chromed front wheel
  • Light bar (for extra safety at night)
  • Raked triple tree (for easier steering)
The bike itself has less than 5,000 miles on it, and less than 1,000 miles since the trike conversion. Nothing more needs to be done to get this trike show-ready!

Shelved Harley-Davidson Penster Tilting Trike Prototypes Revealed

Thu, 04 Aug 2011

The Harley-Davidson Museum has pulled the covers off discarded prototypes of a leaning three-wheeled motorcycle developed by The Motor Company. Harley-Davidson commissioned automobile hot rodding legend John Buttera to build the original prototype (pictured above) in 1998. Codenamed the “Penster”, the Trike looks like it could have been an earlier version of the Can-Am Spyder, but it had a tilting front end similar to the Piaggio MP3.
