Up for sale is my pride and joy 2000 Sportster, circumstances dictate that I sell it. If you are looking for new or perfect, don't look here, if you want one of the best used bikes around ,here it is. 18,840 miles as of listing. The good, The Bad and The Ugly The Good--- Less than 2000 miles ago, New front and rear tires, new battery, new brakes on front and rear, with rotors, new major tune up, carb overhaul, new pipes. New stock seat. The custom paint is as good as it gets for age ( black lines in picture and overhead wire reflections , not in paint ) I will change oil and filter for you. Runs and rides like NEW !!!! The Bad--- After she sits for extended periods (months )It can be a chalenge to fire up ( I will tell you what I found to work best ) The Ugly--- The front wheel spokes do not shine any more, the speedometer bezel has a scratch and the nut is a bit rusty, a nut cap ( cover) on right case is missing. This requires a $500.00 NON REFUNDABLE deposit at auction end. Repeat NON REFUNDABLE, so do not bid if you don't have all of the funds to purchase, no excuses. The balance will be due in a bank check within 10 days of auction ending ( more than fair ) This is a pick up only or if you make the shipping araingements I will send it off for you. Harley-Davidson Recalls 250,000 Motorcycles for Rear Brake Light Switches
Mon, 24 Oct 2011Harley-Davidson is issuing a recall for 250,757 units from its Touring, CVO Touring and Trike line from model years 2009 – 2012. The rear brake light switch on the models in question may become degraded due to the heat from the exhaust systems. This may affect brake light function and may result in a brake fluid leak.
UFC Set To Rumble For H-D’s 110th Anniversary
Wed, 29 May 2013The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) octagon is set to ride into Milwaukee for Harley-Davidson’s 110th Anniversary celebration, giving fans an opportunity to witness one of the hardest-hitting live MMA fights of the year – the UFC 164 Harley-Davidson Hometown Throwdown. UFC stars including Cain Velasquez, Mike Chiesa and Matt Hughes will be at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in downtown Milwaukee on August 31 for the action-packed card, which will feature more than 10 hard-hitting bouts. “UFC and Harley-Davidson fans will experience the passion of the world’s best fighters when they duke it out in the Octagon in our backyard here in Milwaukee during our 110th Anniversary,” said Mark-Hans Richer, Chief Marketing Officer at Harley-Davidson.

Mon, 28 Sep 2009Two weeks ago, I took a break from my regular duties gathering news for Motorcycle.com to fly to Germany to cover the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show for our sister site AutoGuide.com. For two hectic days, AutoGuide editor Colum Wood and I scrambled across the massive 6.2 million square foot Messe Frankfurt trade fair compound, running from press conference to press conference to get the latest on exotic sport cars, futuristic concept models and international unveilings from the automotive world. It was heaven for car lovers, but for me, it meant fighting my way through hordes of photogs, auto-journalists and car show models to get the first photos of four-wheeled goodies from MINI, Ferrari and Lotus.
