Harley-Davidson Softail description

2007 Harley Davidson Custom Softail. Titled as a Heritage Softail Classic but I put Fatboy tanks, wheels, and fenders on it. I purchased this as a project bike from a guy in Minnesota and I do not know the history of the bike.  Clean and clear title (not salvage) in hand in my name.  Engine and frame match the title. I have owned it for a little over a year and I just took it on a 200 mile trip. It rides great, has great power (96 cubic inch engine), 6 speed transmission, rides straight and wouldn't hesitate to take it on another trip. It has about 13500 miles on it and still riding so that may go up.  It has a brand new hydraulic clutch, new front and rear tires, new battery, new brake pads, aftermarket wide glide front end, solo seat, RC exhaust, internally wired drag bars. The paint is in great shape. It is by no means perfect but it is a good solid bike.  No dents or dings in the tanks or fenders, but normal wear and tear for a bike six years old.  No rust.

You are welcome to see it before bidding.  Thanks for looking.  Item sold AS IS.  Full Payment due within 10 days.  Buyer responsible for shipping.

Motorcycles at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show

Mon, 28 Sep 2009

Two weeks ago, I took a break from my regular duties gathering news for Motorcycle.com to fly to Germany to cover the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show for our sister site AutoGuide.com. For two hectic days, AutoGuide editor Colum Wood and I scrambled across the massive 6.2 million square foot Messe Frankfurt trade fair compound, running from press conference to press conference to get the latest on exotic sport cars, futuristic concept models and international unveilings from the automotive world. It was heaven for car lovers, but for me, it meant fighting my way through hordes of photogs, auto-journalists and car show models to get the first photos of four-wheeled goodies from MINI, Ferrari and Lotus.

Zero Motorcycles has promoted Abe Askenazi to the position of chief technology officer. A former Buell engineer, Askenazi joined Zero Motorcycles in 2010 as vice president of engineering where he played a vital role in developing the company’s 2011 line-up, overhauling over 80% of Zero’s existing electric motorcycle line-up while adding the Zero XU and street legal versions of the Zero X and Zero MX in just 10 months on the job. “Abe’s ability to effectively execute on an aggressive product development plan, select the best new technologies and rally his team is remarkable.
