Harley-Davidson Other description

This is a completely rebuilt 2002 MCC Thunderbolt prostreet. It was purchased as an insurance repossessed bike and rebuilt.

I bought this bike and had it rebuilt for my wife. Turns out it was too much bike for her to handle though (too powerful). This bike is extremely fast and smooth. It handles great on side roads and floats down the highway. It is a great manufactured custom bike. So it is easy to find parts for, and to customize further if you wish.

The engine, transmission, primary, and clutch were all completely rebuilt using brand new parts. Less than five hundred miles are on this bike since it was completed. The engine is an 89 cubic inch stroker motor using the evolution platform with mostly S&S parts. The speedo is a small handlebar mounted digital speedo, brand new, and very nice. The clutch is a Barnett pro clutch. The transmission is a five speed. There are currently no turn signals installed on the bike though it is wired for them.

The paint is a one of a kind paint job performed to showcase a difficult to apply paint that is no longer offered. You will not find this paint job on another bike.

There are some scratches on the right lower fork leg as the forks were used. The bike has never been dumped, laid down, tipped over, or damaged in anyway. This bike is valued at $12,500. Own it now for much less.

There is no implied warranty on this motorcycle and the seller reserves the right to end this auction early as it is for sale locally as well.

Please ask questions before bidding.

EBR Nation Part 3: Made In America

    Wed, 10 Aug 2011

Erik Buell Racing has released the third episode of its series about the new 1190RS sportbike. The latest episode focuses on the company’s “Made in America” philosophy, with its goal of producing a high-performance superbike in the U.S.A. As Erik Buell, racer Geoff May and designer Tony Stefanelli discuss the themes of innovation and freedom, we can’t help but wonder however whether they’re talking about American ideals, or about being out from Harley-Davidson’s umbrella.
