For sale is a one of a kind 1996 yellow custom Arlen Ness Luxury Liner.  It has only had one owner and is in pristine condition.  In 1996, it got 1st place in the Dresser Class at the 5th annual ECF Beach Ride in Ventura, CA.  It has 6,335 miles and was recently serviced and detailed by West Coast Distributing in Tujunga, CA.   Service included oil, primary, and transmission changes, a new front tire, and a new battery.    Bike is located near Pasadena, CA.  Will coordinate shipping with buyer if interested. Harley-Davidson is looking for 400 casual workers for its factory in York, Pa., to help with a planned seasonal surge in production. The jobs begin in January 2014 and will run through until the end of May. “When we ramp up production to meet customer demands, it allows us the manufacturing flexibility to build the right bike, the right time for the right person,” Harley-Davidson Spokesperson Bernadette Lauer tells the York Daily Record.

The feeling rings true today as it did 72 years ago, when Wallace Van Sandt, of Birmingham, Alabama, took delivery of his 1941 Harley-Davidson WLD Special Sport Solo, purchased new in 1940 for $365 (roughly $5800 in today’s money) by his father as a high school graduation gift. The WLD Special Sport Solo was a ringer in its day.
