This a 1959 Panshovel on a 1957 straight leg frame. The frame is in great shape with sidecar loops and tube in tact. The bike is still a 6 volt system with an auto advance distributor. All brakes are in good working condition. It has a foot clutch jockey shift set up and all works as designed. I ride this bike with no issues and it kick starts with very little effort. I have a video of it being started that can be sent if requested. I am no interested in parting this bike out and will aid with shipping at the buyers expense. You will not be disappointed in the bike!!!! The bike was built by a friend of mine who had owned it for nearly 30 years. I purchased the bike from his wife after he passed away. I hate to sell the bike but need to for financial reasons out of my control. I hope someone will buy this piece of history and love it as much as he and I have. The second-gen series of American Elites are also now available with narrow white bar sidewalls and wide white walls along with the original black sidewall, providing FL owners more choices. For riders of Harley-Davidson FL Touring bikes, model year 2009 and later, the new second-generation American Elite tires with Multi-Tread are available in 130/80B17 and 180/65B16 black sidewall, 130/80B17 and 180/65B16 narrow white sidewall, 130/90B16 and 180/65B16 wide white sidewall, with the 130/70B18 front tire available for select CVO bikes. For recent-model Softail owners, including models such as the Fat Boy, the MH90-21, 140/75R17 and 200/50R17 sizes of American Elite are also available.

Wed, 13 Nov 2013Harley-Davidson is looking for 400 casual workers for its factory in York, Pa., to help with a planned seasonal surge in production. The jobs begin in January 2014 and will run through until the end of May. “When we ramp up production to meet customer demands, it allows us the manufacturing flexibility to build the right bike, the right time for the right person,” Harley-Davidson Spokesperson Bernadette Lauer tells the York Daily Record.
