1951 Harley-Davidson Panhead Barn Find *NO RESERVE* Title included

Titled in 1966 as pictured. This barn find motorcycle was recently discovered in East Tennessee. Owners had it for 40 years. It must be noted the engine has been re-numbered. This bike is exactly what you see from front to back. Very original, in  tact 1951 Panhead. Engine turns and makes no bad noises. Transmission does not shift gears, likely shifter forks are stuck. Both tires hold air, and bike rolls easily. I took a picture underneath the dash and I believe the original color might have been the red color. It was probably repainted very young in its life.

Why the numbers were altered or the engine was changed, I do not know, and have no answers. I can only represent the bike for what it is as a re-numbered barn find Panhead with title. Look the pictures over carefully. Also note I have not run this motorcycle. I believe it will run with a minimal amount of effort although it will require the transmission being removed and freeing the shifter forks. The engine could very well run in tact along with most of the running gear.

All hand controls and brake controls work nicely. Has rare cross over dual exhaust with unique straight pipes. It will certainly make a heck of a noise when running. Stainless seat cover over battery is original. Has original tombstone tail light lens with Harley embossing. For those Panhead experts, this is a great opportunity to find an intact Panhead. Only item that I can see is missing, is the horn. Any questions, call Dale at 828.734.9222.

This bike will be sold with title, and must be picked up at the Wheels Through Time Museum in Maggie Valley, North Carolina.
