Harley-Davidson FXR description

THE BIKE: 1994 is the last year the FXR was built. Some say it is the best handling bike Harley ever produced. She has everything you see plus I have installed the Champion Reverse gear. (pull the lever up, let out the clutch and back you go) It is very quick with the performance cam, Screamin Eagle pipes and S&S Super E carb. She has a brand new Michelin rear, almost new Dunlop front, short and tall backrest bar with pad, LaPera deep riders seat and plush passenger seat and matching bags. ( the stock seat goes also if you want it) I also am including the original CV carb, forward control set and HD cover. The bars are custom by Chris Hill and ride like pull back drag bars... VERY comfortable. She has 26,250 miles. I am asking $8500 for the bike.

VOYAGER KIT: This is the upgraded kit with trailer hitch, two tone paint, tombstone tail lights. It has 13" car tires and chrome wheels. Tread is 90-95%. It installs in about 5 minutes and off in 1/2 that time. Two 3/4" grade 8 bolts attach the bike to the frame bracket. If you want the stability of a trike you've got it, if you want 2 wheel riding you've got it. Also included is a "B" model adapter bracket set for large frame HD's. New price for the kit is $3895 plus frt. I am asking $2500.

AMA Honors Zero and Scot Harden with Bessie Stringfield Award

Tue, 04 Mar 2014

The American Motorcyclist Association has bestowed a special recognition award to Zero Motorcycles and its Vice President of Marketing, Hall-of-Famer Scot Harden, for their work in attracting new riders and the positive impact they’ve delivered to mainstream media. Harden (pictured above from our recent Zero FX dirt riding review) and Zero were awarded the AMA Bessie Stringfield Award which recognizes individuals who have been instrumental in bringing emerging markets to motorcycling. The award is named after 2002 AMA Hall of Fame inductee Bessie Stringfield, the first African-American woman to ride solo across the United States and a civilian motorcycle dispatch rider for the army in World War II.

EBR Nation Part 3: Made In America

Wed, 10 Aug 2011

Erik Buell Racing has released the third episode of its series about the new 1190RS sportbike. The latest episode focuses on the company’s “Made in America” philosophy, with its goal of producing a high-performance superbike in the U.S.A. As Erik Buell, racer Geoff May and designer Tony Stefanelli discuss the themes of innovation and freedom, we can’t help but wonder however whether they’re talking about American ideals, or about being out from Harley-Davidson’s umbrella.
