Ducati Superbike description
2003 Ducati 999
Gorgeous bike! I hate to sell it, but unfortunately college tuition is quite expensive. This bike is loaded with aftermarket parts: -Termignoni Exhaust (Sounds incredible) -Ducati Performance ECU (Part of the exhaust package from the dealership) -Ducati Performance mirrors -Brembo Brakes -Stainless brake lines -Aftermarket levers -Rizoma open clutch cover -STM pressure plate -Ducatbike clutch springs and caps -CA Cycleworks clutch slave cylinder -SSr keyless gas cap -Ohlins steering damper The motor pulls very strong. I had a 996 before this bike and I can honestly say this motor is a step above. Fires right up with no trouble. Cool thing about the 999 is you don't have to hold the start button, just press it once and it will fire up on its own. Exhaust sounds incredible. All in all this bike is great and runs like a top. It has never been down or dropped. It has also never seen any time on the track. The bad: -There are a few chips in the paint here and there. Nothing crazy just little things that you'd expect on any bike being ridden. (see pics and you'll notice they are small and few and far between) -Bike has maintenance light on. Last service was completed however you need a dealership to turn the light off using their special Ducati computer. Last service was done by a private party prior to my ownership. No check engine lights or anything of that matter are on, just the service indicator. -Rear tire is getting pretty worn in the middle |

The North East,Prescott and fast laps with Chris Walker at Mallory
Thu, 26 Apr 2012A big thanks to all at Newcastle Motorcycles for lending me a Honda CB1000F on Saturday to do nothing other than join mates for a blast round some fantastic roads in the North East. The buddies in question were Alan Smith (Bradley’s dad) and two stroke addict and race fan Chris Berriman. We headed east over the moors from the ‘Toon’ heading towards Barnard Castle then back through Consett before finishing up at the picturesque Tynemouth.
Used: Alpinestars Joey Canvas shoes review
Wed, 11 Sep 2013The brief I gave to my girlfriend before packing for our little California road-trip was simple: “No hair straighteners, no high-heels and no hand bags!” So, I had to honour the whole ‘packing light’ thing too ...or risk a week of abuse. I picked up these shoes as I thought they’d double as decent riding gear for the Yamaha XVS650 and Ducati Diavel we had lined up but they also looked perfect for wearing with jeans when we’d dumped the bike and were heading out to explore the sights. They don’t feature any ‘real’ armour but they are made from a tough yet flexible canvas and they feature additional protection around the ankle.
NHTSA Launches Recall Look-up by VIN Tool
Fri, 22 Aug 2014The U.S. Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have launched a new free online tool that should make it easier for consumers to inspect their vehicles’ safety recall histories. The new search tool, available at http://www.safercar.gov/vinlookup, allows people to look for recall campaigns by entering Vehicle Identification Numbers.
