Ducati Paso description

Recently acquired this great rare collectible vintage sport bike in a trade. I'm really tempted to keep it because it is an absolute blast to ride and will likely appreciate in value, but I have too many vintage bikes already and will try to concentrate on my Moto Guzzis. This is the best sounding bike I've ever owned. It makes just the most beautiful sound. The engine runs great and the bike rides well. It is a blast to ride and gets a ton of attention. You won't blend in with this bike, that's for sure. Nobody is going to mistake this for a Honda. The bike doesn't leak any oil or other liquids; I haven't noticed any drips under the bike. The previous owner created there binders full of technical and other information on the bike. There are receipts in there from previous repairs and maintenance as well as copies of manuals and various technical write-ups and vintage magazine articles about the Ducati Paso. The front signal lenses are cracked and the instrument panel lens is also cracked. I have a source for replacement signal lens (comes complete with the rear view mirror assembly, unpainted at $125 each). There are a number of instrument panels for sale on eBay also if the cracked lens bothers you. I can feel a bit of a vibration in the steering column at low speed while braking but not at any speed above 20 mph or so. So, that might need some attention eventually. There is also a small tear in the after market and very comfy Corbin seat.  This is a really great vintage Ducati at a very reasonable starting bid and NO RESERVE.

If Rossi went to Ducati...

Tue, 30 Mar 2010

BY THE WAY he's been enthusing about Yamaha over the last few months, the chances of Valentino Rossi defecting to Ducati for his final stint in MotoGP looks increasingly slim. But if The Doctor did decide to end his illustrious motorcycle racing career with Ducati, then this is what his Desmosedici racer could look like, says bike design guru Oberdan Bezzi. Looks cool in Martini colours, yes?

Niall Mac on a Panigale at last!

Wed, 01 Aug 2012

I’ve had to be patient but I finally got my leg over a Ducati Panigale at Donington Park this week. Focused Events handed me a zero miles bike to play on but with the rain hammering down, I opted to fit some wets for my first run out. With no instruction manual I still found the dash easy to navigate so I was soon in wet riding mode and ready to roll.

Silverman Museum Racing will add a number of rare and historic Ducati motorcycles to the upcoming Bonhams motorcycle auction at Bally’s Hotel and Casino, January 9, 2014. This is in addition to the impressive collection of Harley-Davidsons from the Pierce collection headlining the auction. Comprised of Italian thoroughbreds, the Silverman collection is one of the most renowned in the world and is based largely around competition models. For instance, featured is a 1973 750SS Imola Short Stroke.
