Ducati Other description

Up for auction - 2007 Ducati GT1000 Sport Classic.  Original adult owner.  Always stored in the garage or under a cover.  8307 miles.  Brand new Pilot RD 3 tires.

Extras – aftermarket bar end mirrors / rear luggage rack / chrome plated radiator cover / rear wheel hugger (fender) / Nelson Rigg motorcycle cover.  New gas tank replaced per manufacturers recall.  I also have the stock mirrors.  Comes with owner’s manual and all three keys (including the red one).  This bike is a head turner!  The rare color scheme is AWESOME!

Stock exhaust, however sounds more aggressive due to holes drilled into bafflers.  See pics.

Well maintained, however it is overdue for 7k service.  The tank has 2 small bumps on the right side – barely noticeable, however they are there if you are looking for them.  I don’t know what this is; it came from the manufacturer this way.  See pics.

Happy to answer any questions – I’m only selling because the wife needs a car.

Ducati DVT – Desmodromic Valves Meet Variable Valve Timing?

Fri, 10 Oct 2014

Ducati sent out invitations to motorcycle media about an unveiling on Oct. 15 for something cryptically called “DVT“. No other details were provided, though the likely assumption is Ducati’s version of a variable valve timing system.

This is one trashed 1199 Panigale

Tue, 24 Apr 2012

This is what a destroyed Ducati 1199 Panigale looks like, after South African superbike racer Chris Leeson lost the front end at turn one of the Kyalami circuit. Although the same can't be said for the new and now mangled Ducati superbike, Leeson escaped the crash with minor bruising. Crash sequence below.

Prince William The Duke Of Ducs And Other Motorcycles

Mon, 02 Dec 2013

The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, visited Britain’s largest motorcycle show, Motorcycle Live, at the National Exhibition Center in Birmingham. The visit saw the Duke astride numerous motorcycle models including UK icons Norton and Triumph as well as a Ducati 1199 Superleggera (one of the few men able to afford the $70,000 rarity). During his visit Prince William enjoyed a display of off-road riding – one of nine opportunities for visitors to ride at Motorcycle Live, eight of which are inside the halls of the NEC. He also met Dean Linehan, exhibitions director of MCI Exhibitions, the company that organizes the annual motorcycle exhibition.
