WSBK: 2012 Miller Results
Tue, 29 May 2012Marco Melandri earned BMW its second ever World Superbike victory to move into second place in the championship standings behind Max Biaggi in the series’ only stop in the United States. Melandri won a red-flagged Race Two at Utah’s Miller Motorsports Park after finishing second to defending WSBK Champion Carlos Checa in Race One to give him 142.5 points on the season, tied with Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes but behind Aprilia‘s Biaggi who leads the way with 160.5 points. 2014 Ducati 899 Panigale Revealed
Mon, 09 Sep 2013Traditionally, Ducati saves its big reveals for the EICMA Show in November in its native Italy, but with the company now under the helm of Audi, we will have to start looking to Germany for the major announcements. Case in point is the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show where today Ducati officially pulled the covers off its new 899 Panigale, revealing a new “Supermid” version of the 1199 Panigale using the same monocoque frame concept and Superquadro 90-degree V-Twin engine design. Ducati Reveals Testastretta DVT Engine + Video
Wed, 15 Oct 2014Ducati has introduced a new version of its 1198cc engine featuring a variable timing system. As the name implies, the Testastretta Desmodromic Variable Timing (DVT) engine combines the company’s signature desmo valves with a variable timing system that adjusts both intake and exhaust camshafts. According to Ducati, this represents the first ever application of both technologies for a motorcycle engine.
