2001 Ducati Monster on 2040-motos
Ducati Monster tech info
Ducati Monster description
I bought this bike about two years ago with the intention of restoring it. At the time, the bike ran well. Since then it has sat up and the carbs will need to be cleaned because they stick and it doesn't have a battery. Lost interest in the project and now loosing space so I have to let it go.Could be a great bike with a little bit of attention. That being said it is a Dark edition and has lots of carbon fiber. Here is a list of things it needs: Battery, carbs cleaned, minor oil leak from seal on motor (drips about a drop every few days), tires are starting to dry rot, seals on forks are also starting to rot but aren't leaking yet, the whole bike could use a good cleaning and re greasing, needs new handlebar grips, the speedo has a crack on the lens and the tank has one small nick in the paint about the size of a skittle. Pros: other than a minor seat tear its in pretty good cosmetic shape, it has aftermarket Rizoma bars and mounts, and an aftermarket exhaust. |
