Ducati Monster description

You are looking at a 2000 Ducati Monster 900 Fuel injected beast. My bike was purchased 10/25/2013 and given to a Ducati authorized mechanic from 12/15/13 until 5/15/14. As you can see from the pictures, it has been restored from the ground up with no expense spared. The prior owner's records are in my possession and will detail all of the upgrades done including but not limited to the Ohlins adjustable rear shock,  ECU Remapping, and changing the rear sprocket for better performance. I have had the rear swingarm, kickstand, rearsets, and headlight cup sandblasted and powder coated in flat black. The frame and wheels have been sandblasted and powder coated in Lamborghini red. I have added the high mount Arrow carbon fiber exhaust with the DB killers removed so you can hear the deep roar of the engine, which should keep the drivers that are texting, facebooking, snapchatting, tweeting, and instagramers in check and away from you safely. I have replaced the directionals and mirrors, with a bar end kit that has 8 LEDs for a total of 32 LEDs that can be seen from behind you, as well as in front of you to increase visibility when signaling. Behind the seat is an integrated smoked LED directional, up front is a shock and blast proof 7" sealed LED headlight by Truck-Lite, which has a military contract with our government to supply these headlights. The tail chop was done, smoked windscreen, as well as the 3" bar risers to keep the pressure off of your wrists and lower back. The carbon fiber parts are the reservoir covers $60.00 each (2) ouch!, inner fender, custom belly pan, sprocket cover, key surround, license plate frame, side covers and headlight mounts. The speedometer is Koso white face analog tachometer with digital speedometer. The brakes are Brembo with steel braided hoses. The air horn is a Stebel 139db air horn that will keep the fools from drifting into your lane, God willing. I have a cigarette plug mounted under the seat so you can keep your phone charged and away while riding. I have front wheel and body frame sliders mounted. This bike never been down or wheelied since I have owned it and the new speedometer shows about 400 miles since the build. Last year valves were adjusted, oil changed, K&N oil filter and air filter used and always premium gasoline. If you know motorcycles, you know there are people that ride and people that own a bike and wish they had the time to ride. I've put a total of 400 miles max since I've owed it, usually in jaunts of 25 miles, so that should tell you the type of rider I am. I have a XL Dainese jacket with exposed carbon fiber shoulders and matching pants that zip together with the knee pucks, I will include with purchase. Keep in mind I have $11,000.00 invested that I will never see again but the fun factor is priceless.

Valentino Rossi to Ducati? Not so fast!

In today’s news that really isn’t news, an interview of Ducati CEO, Gabriele del Torchio, by Bruno de Prato found on Cycle World’s website on August 3rd, reveals the CEO speaking in a matter-of-fact tone about Valentino Rossi’s status as a team member on Ducati’s MotoGP effort. In the CW article, Del Torchio states that the 2010 racing season “will not bring to Ducati any crown in the sport,” but that he looks “forward to Valentino Rossi teaming up with Nicky Hayden.” “Nicky is a wonderful person and a great rider. This year, he greatly contributed to improving our Desmosedici racer.
