Buell Firebolt description

I am the second owner of this awesome bike. The bike was manufactured in April of 2005 and bought by a gentlemen in Illinois. I bought it from him May 16th 2008 with 2719 miles on it. The bike looks as good as new still to this day. The best part about this bike is the factory installed Harley Davidson race kit! This kit was discontinued by Harley because of it not passing emission and noise tests I believe. So because of this the factory race kit is very rare. Trust me when I say it makes the bike. And is the only reason I drove all the way to Illinois to buy it. This race package I understand was nearly two thousand extra over the sticker price of the bike. The race package includes a complete header and muffler exhaust system, upgraded air filter, and a racing tuned program flashed to the computer. So other than the race package it pretty much hasn't been modified much. I've upgraded the handle grips with authentic buell grips. I have frame slider/pucks that I've never installed that's included. I did a breather mod to it which helps when running low rpms and I've saved all the parts to take is back to stock (if desired). I had a 3/4" gel and 1/2" memory foam pad instaled in the driver's seat. I'll also include a bolt down bike stand that is nice to use in the garage or trailer, a motorcycle cover, and a tank bag. I've taken very good care of this bike. It wasn't my first bike nor has it been raced or wrecked. I've always stored it in a heated garage in the winters. It has a newer battery and has a quick connect for a battery tender already installed. So to why I'm selling it. I've owned the bike for 8 years, I bought it when I was single, now I'm married and have one child so far. I have next to no time to ride it. Last year I put less that 300 miles on it. Now that my son is getting some bigger outside toys there is just not any room. I have the title in hand and will accept cash or certified check. I'm not interested in any trades. With only 7163 mile you know this bike has been well taken care of. Well I think thats about all I have to tell you about it so I'll let the bike speak for itself.

Erik Buell Racing Secures $20 Million in Foreign Investments

Fri, 20 Jul 2012

Erik Buell Racing has received a $20 million injection from investors. The increased funding is expected to expand the company’s product line and create about 200 jobs. The investment comes through the somewhat fittingly-named “EB-5” program, a product of the Immigrant Act of 1990 designed to encourage investment in American companies by potential immigrants.

EBR Nation Part 2: “Fingertips” [Video]

Wed, 27 Jul 2011

Erik Buell Racing has released the second part in a series of videos about its 1190RS superbike. Dubbed “Fingertips”, the latest episode examines the RS’s agility, with AMA racer Geoff May comparing the 1190cc motorcycle’s handling to a bike with half the displacement. The series has been interesting so far, though it could probably be better if they toned down the video effects and didn’t edit the dialogue into a series of short sound bites.

Erik Buell Racing Teases 1190RX Production Model

Thu, 25 Jul 2013

Erik Buell Racing released a photograph on its Facebook page teasing a new streetbike expected to be called the 1190RX. Official details are sparse at the moment, but the new EBR 1190RX is expected to be a street-legal version of the 1190RS racebike, as the image (see the full version below) sports a pillion seat and pegs, mirrors, lighting and license plate holder. The engine is expected to be based on the 1190cc liquid-cooled V-Twin equipped on the RS.
