BSA Shooting Star/Star Fire description

NO TITLE! Fairly clean and complete barn find! And yes we did get it to fire the 15 mins we messed with it. We did not get it to "run" though but very promising. All the chrome is in really good shape and very little if any rust. Would be a great base for a restore or made into a driver. Really only missing the seat and the badge on one side of the tank. Please take a good look at the Pics for the description. What you see is what you get. Great compression! Lots of potential. fenders, wheels, headlight bucket etc all in good shape. I own an export company and can ship this anywhere in the world. Please ask questions. FEEL free to call 563-529-1096

What’s Old Is New Again – Video

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

There’s something distinctly cool about old British motorcycles. From the wire wheels, the minimal bodywork, and the exposed engines which give off a thunderous bark, I’ve always loved looking at old Triumphs, BSAs and the like from the 60s.  I’ve never owned one though. The reason is simple: old British bikes are needy little maintenance machines notorious for the odd oil leak.

The Steve McQueen Desert Racer

Tue, 24 Mar 2009

There are few motorcycle icons within pop culture that have endured as vividly as that of the late, great Steve McQueen. A man who was at one time the highest paid actor in Hollywood, he avoided the limelight in favor of immersing himself within his passion for motorcycles. Never afraid of getting dirty, McQueen was at his happiest flogging a bike around the track with fellow racers or tinkering with the machines himself.

Man Builds Sidecar from Bathtub

Thu, 23 Apr 2009

Back in 1997, an unusual motorcycle appeared on the front page of the Bristol Evening Post. Unable to afford a costly traditional sidecar, bus driver Alan Iles of Bedminster opted to build his own, using a bathtub. Twelve years later, the 1959 650cc BSA is still going and has been ridden all over Europe to help raise money for Cancer research and various charities, for which he has raised thousands of British pounds.
