BMW R-Series description
Well cared for low mileage example of type. The engine runs very strong, documented 30K service at dealer, new brake fluid this year, recent oil change. The bike has approximatley 37,600 miles on it. Both Metzler tires have quite a bit of life in them with 7K's worth of miles on them. The bike was originally purchased by its first owner as his retirement gift and he took it to Alaska. ABS brakes . The bike, as is normally the case, has been over a few times, with only a few scratches on the front fender and a smudge on the tank lettering that I can see. BMW Produces 500,000th GS Boxer
Wed, 19 Mar 2014BMW‘s most important model reached an important milestone as the 500,000th boxer-engined GS rolled off the company’s production line in Berlin, Germany. The landmark liquid-cooled 2014 R1200GS follows a lineage half a million strong of flat-twin adventure tourers tracing back to the first R80G/S produced in 1980. “As a plant it is a privilege for us to continue building on the successful history of the legendary flat-twin GS,” says Marc Sielemann, head of the Berlin plant which produces the bulk of BMW’s motorcycles since 1969.
BMW Posts Record First-Half Figures

First half figures were 6.3% higher than the 57,015 units sold in the same period in 2010. BMW reports strong demand across all its models, with the Boxer engine R-series models leading the way.
Boxer Design Superbob Concept – 158 HP Turbocharged V-Twin
Tue, 29 Nov 2011French firm Boxer Design has unveiled a new 1000cc turbocharged V-Twin concept model at the 2011 Salon de la Moto show in Paris. The Boxer Superbob is powered by a 88-degree V-Twin engine claiming 158 hp at 9500rpm and 92 ft-lb. of torque at 8000rpm.
