BMW R-Series description
2004 BMW R1150RT. Excellent condition. All service up to date. Never dropped. Light scuff marks on panniers but paint is near perfect. Extras include -- Sargent seat, heed engine guards, PIAA LED lights, throttlemeister, gps mount, lowered pegs (brake and shifter custom lowered to match pegs), vstream windshield, new Odyssey battery, flashing LED brake light, bar risers, Skene engineering LED lights mounted on front forks (very bright yellow LED lights that "pulse" to make you more visible to drivers), liners for panniers and top case, new spark plugs and stick coils. Front tire has approximately 2000 miles on it, rear 3000. Left side cam chain tensioner has been upgraded to new style. Horn has been upgraded (very loud). I also have a complete set of speedbleeders for the calipers and abs system. I was going to install them at the next fluid change. I will include a Tomtom rider 4 gps and electronic battery charger with the buy it now price. I can help with shipping. Mileage will go up slightly as I ride to work most days. Some of the photos show the bike prior to the installation of the accessories.

BMW Warns of Potential Defect in 2014 R1200RT Suspension
Thu, 05 Jun 2014BMW is issuing a warning to owners of the 2014 R1200RT with the Dynamic ESA option about a potential defect with the rear suspension. No formal recall has been announced at the moment; BMW is calling it a precautionary measure, though that may change in time or depending on the market. According to BMW, the piston rod of the rear spring strut could break.
