2016 Midual Type 1 Prototype Revealed

Originally formed in 1992 by entrepreneur Olivier Midy, Midual was an obscure French brand best known for introducing a 875cc roadster concept in 1999. What made the concept noteworthy was the company’s decision to use a transversely-mounted flat-twin engine.

This converted BMW R1200RT has two 20 or 25 liter tanks (contain a premix of water and foam) mounted on either side that is connected to a 6.8 liter compressed air tank on the back of the bike that has a 20 to 30 meter hose. They are currently being used in the U.K.

TOURATECH now makes an expandable tank bag to match BMW’s R1200GS in red and silver. The touring accessory firm’s "Ambato Exp" tank bag has been on sale for a month but until now only in black or black and white. It features a model-specific base plate for quick-release attachment to the R1200GS, waterproof inserts and Cordura fabric described as “tear proof”.
