Up for Sale is a 1961 BMW R27 250cc Motorcycle. Clear Title. 20,014 Miles. Matching Numbers # 375026. The Motorcycle has an older restoration ( 15 years ago). Not perfect, but very nice. It has a new battery, tank flushed, and new fuel line. Starts up, Runs good, No Smoke or leaks, shifts through the gears. All of the Electronics work. Front and rear brakes work as they should. The only thing the bike needs, to be driveable, is the driving plate in the Drive shaft, Previous one dry rotted out. Overall the paint is still very nice. No dents in the tank or fenders. Handlebars do show some pitting. Overall a very nice example of a 1961 BMW R27. . You receive what is pictured. Please see my other vintage motorcycles and parts. WSBK 2013: Aragon Race Report
Mon, 15 Apr 2013BMW Motorrad Goldbet racer Chaz Davies scored his first career World Superbike double victory, taking both races at Spain’s Aragon circuit. The wins were the second and third of Davies’ WSBK career (the first came last year at Nurburgring for the ParkinGo Aprilia team) and the second ever double in the series for BMW. The Welsh rider and former AMA Pro Racing competitor has had some success at Aragon, getting his first career WSBK podium at the Spanish track in 2012.
BMW Reportedly Discussing Partnership with India’s TVS Motor
Mon, 09 Jul 2012BMW is reportedly in talks with TVS Motor to develop new motorcycles for India. A potential BMW-TVS partership would follow similar arrangements between Bajaj Auto and KTM and between Hero MotoCorp and Erik Buell Racing. The Wall Street Journal reports the two companies are discussing a possible technological alliance.
2011-2013 BMW F800GS and F700GS Recalled in Canada
Wed, 19 Jun 2013Transport Canada announced a recall for the 2011-2013 BMW F800GS and the 2013 F700GS because of a problem with the kickstand ignition cut-off switch. The switch is designed to turn off the engine when the stand is down and the motorcycle is shifted into gear; this prevents the motorcycle from being ridden with the kickstand deployed. On certain BMW F800GS and F700GS models however, the cut-off switch can loosen and become damaged.
