It has a almost 9 gallon gas tank which will go 400 miles before refueling, it gets about 50 miles per gallon gas on freeway. We rode it on vacation the last 2 years and rode the Blue Ridge Parkway this year. Never had any issues and is still under factory warranty. We now know that it has a claimed dry weight of 403 pounds, which should be competitive with its Japanese literbike rivals. The all-new inline-Four powerplant displaces 999cc, and its cylinder head is said to be very narrow and compact, with the valves actuated by “very small” cam followers that are nearly at Formula 1 levels in size.

This marks the third consecutive year of record sales, following the 106,358 motorcycles in 2012 and 104,286 motorcycles sold in 2011. We already knew BMW was going to have a banner year last month, when the German manufacturer passed its 2012 figures in just 11 months.
