BMW Other description

This is a flawless 2012 BMW K1600GT with every option available. This includes: ABS, GPS (secure in dash and displays speed limits on every road), Adaptive Zenon headlight (shines the light around corners and up\down hills, brilliant), ESA (Electronic Suspension Control with Normal, Sport and Comfort), Dynamic\Road\Rain engine settings, Heated front and rear seats, Heated grips, Electronically adjustable windshield, Cruise control, AM\FM\SAT Radio with iPod\iPhone\mp3 connector and compartment, Massive display of information controlled by the left handgrip's multi-dial, Alarm with key-fob that locks all bags and compartments, Quick detach sidebags (with removable liners (not pictured)), I'm sure there are something's I've forgotten. The extra goodies are: Multi-setting driving lights mounted on the forks , the Touratech Tank bag and of course the titanium Akrapovic exhaust system. Chances are you are familiar with this bike if you're looking at this, but if you're not, please check some articles on it. Journalists have been gushing about the bike since it was introduced. One ride shows you why as it's incredibly light and responsive for a bike this size, amazing really. With 158hp and 129ftlb of torque it's also legitimately fast! As in, sportbike fast. Yet the engine is so smooth that it rides extremely well at a relaxed pace too. You can ride an entire road in one gear, 3rd through 6th, and it's almost the same experience. There's never been an engine like this one. Speaking of the engine, it sounded good stock but sounds incredible with the full-titanium exhaust system put on it. It's not loud at all, in fact it's the perfect volume and the baffles could be removed if you choose. This is not a cheap system, receipt for $2700 parts alone, but with the engine sounding the way it does, it was well worth it. I am selling the bike because I need an offroad capable bike to help with my photography habit. I enjoyed wonderful trips to the likes of Yosemite, Yellowstone, Death Valley and Moab on the bike but found that I wanted to wander off the highway to get the really good shots. So I'm selling this beauty and hope it goes to a loving home. It's a ridiculously good machine that is so capable of doing everything you could ever ask of a road bike and doing all of it well. Those trips put the majority of the roughly 6500 miles on it. The 6000 mile service has been done by a BMW dealership and I have the receipts, for everything. Heres a link to more pictures, these were taken very recently and the bike is in this condition: :// /user/PortlandChamp/slideshow/BMW%201600%20GT%202012 Asking $23,000 obo. Fake motorcycle police. Why?

Tue, 17 Jan 2012

People who like to pretend they're police baffle me and annoy me in equal measure. I took this picture the other day at Cobham, about to join the A3 heading to Guildford. I guessed that the guy on the left had just bought his rather fetching BMW off the guy on the right.

2013 BMW F700GS and F800GS Announced

Tue, 03 Jul 2012

BMW has updated its F800GS and introduced the F700GS which replaces the F650GS for the German manufacturer’s 2013 lineup. The 2013 BMW F800GS slots in under the R1200GS as the company’s mid-displacement adventure tourer while the F700GS is an entry-level model to the segment. Despite the nomenclature, both models are equipped with liquid-cooled and fuel-injected four-valve 798cc twin-cylinder engines, just like the 650.
