BMW Other description

2002 BMW R1100S Boxer Prep Cup edition in excellent condition. The Boxer Prep Cup edition has a steering damper, upgraded shocks, longer torque arm and wider rear wheel. Otherwise, the bike is basically stock with the exception of the catalytic converter being removed and a 2 Brothers slip-on exhaust being added. Both tires were replaced at 19,525 miles and the engine, transmission and final drive oils were changed at 21,400 miles. The bike is hand washed once a week and parked in the garage and on a battery tender when not in use. The bike has never been dropped by me and shows no signs of ever being crashed (I am the 3rd owner). There is some normal wear for a bike of it's age and mileage but there is no damage or road rash to the frame, engine or fairings. No test rides without proof of funds and M1 license. Price is $4,450 OBO, call or text contact phone number.

If Aprilia misses its two-time WSBK Champion, it sure didn’t show it with a dominating display at the 2013 season opener in Australia.

How to destroy a GoPro

Wed, 14 Mar 2012

That scraping sound you can hear is a mixture of a knee slider and the GoPro camera housing grazing the tarmac at Mugello. The footage was shot on-board the BMW Motorrad France Team Thevent machine ridden by Hugo Marchand, in testing ahead of the 2012 Endurance World Championship. He managed to wreck the housing that holds the GoPro camera after only three laps.

Gold Rush

Tue, 27 Nov 2012

Spotted at this year's Motorcycle Live. The 'net is awash with gold-wrapped and horrendously painted supercars, often sporting Middle-Eastern numberplates but this S1000RR isn't an Arab creation. Nope, it's a one-off paintjob by BMW for the 2012 Olympics, where BMW supplied cars and bikes to ferry around VIPs.
