BMW Other description

1973 BMW R75/5 Classic, This Classic BMW started getting attention when it first arrived a few weeks ago. It came from an estate of a long time Bob???s customer and had been his for over a dozen years. As he was not a local customer Bob???s did not do most of the regular service on this machine but did provide assorted parts and guidance over the years. Cosmetically, we???ve chosen to leave most of it as it arrived since it???s a good looking, mostly original machine. Mechanically we???ve done all we thought necessary to make it safe, roadworthy, comfortable and fun as our mantra goes. There are a lot of /5 fans at Bob???s among our collective staff, Bob owns several himself and still rides his original 1972 R75/5 that just rolled over to 160,000 miles recently. They are great everyday rides that keep increasing in desirability and value plus they combine the classic great looks of vintage BMW with some more modern advantages like a 12 volt electrical system and electric AND kick start options. They are also easy to work on, have readily available parts supplies (at least at Bob???s) and can be ridden anywhere for any reason and are as dependable a machine as BMW has ever built and offered.

Is there anything you CAN'T do on an S1000RR?

WE'VE SEEN videos of BMW's stunning new S1000RR pulling wheelies, stunting, sliding, racing a 700bhp Corvette, featured in a music video - we've even had a look inside the engine and now the company are using the 190bhp superbike as part of a new-style drag act - but not the Danny La Rue type. Real or not, the clip makes for amusing viewing.  Have a look.

AMA Pro Racing Announces Basic Twins Flat Track Class for 2014 Season

Fri, 12 Apr 2013

AMA Pro Racing announced a new class for Flat Track racing designed to provide a new stepping stone for up-and-coming Pro-licensed racers, replacing the Pro Singles class in 2014. The new class, to be called Basic Twins, is more or less a revival of the Basic Expert Twins division that ran during the 2007 and 2008 seasons, but dropped when the Pro Singles class was introduced for 2009. The new class will give young racers a chance to showcase their skills on Twins, easing their transition to eventually enter the Grand National Expert Twins class.
