BMW K-Series description

This is my late father's bike.  Selling as I am more of a dual sport rider, and the K1200LT likes straight lines.  Comes on a salvage title.  67,000+ miles on it.

Has a few stratches and pieces broken where he had dropped it (heavy bike/high center of gravity).

Comes with a six CD disk player, intercom system for two riders, heated grips, ultra high light bulbs, a 2 meter amateur radio, air horns (load pipes save's lives), new front tire (Metzler), and tools.

It has had a final drive seal replaced about five years ago.  Bike has a new battery and runs but has been sitting for some time.

Top case has rust where tools had been left in it and rusted onto the liner.

Chris Pfeiffer Plays Chicken on a BMW G450X Against a Bobsled [Video]

Tue, 28 Dec 2010

When I first saw this video, I thought it had to be a trick. Like the Gillette video of Roger Federer knocking a can off a man’s head with a tennis serve or the Nike ad with a couple of Dutch soccer players and an air vent, the first reaction is it has to be fake. But then I remember this is BMW stunt rider Chris Pfeiffer we’re talking about here.

WSBK 2013: Jerez Race Report

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

Eugene Laverty did everything he could, scoring a pair of race wins but it was not enough as Tom Sykes rode smartly and conservatively at the season finale in Spain, securing his first ever World Superbike Championship. Sykes landed in Jerez with a 37-point lead over Laverty and a 38-point lead over Sylvain Guintoli. While Laverty battled Marco Melandri to win Race One, Sykes coasted comfortably in third for most of the race to score 16 points, enough to clinch the title.
