BMW F-Series description

I am selling my dual sport. It has been a dream machine. This 800GS was specifically chosen for some very specific adventure trips. I wanted and got a bike that is light, agile for dirt roads, but powerful and stable on the open highway. It's has been and is all of that! I have ridden it extensively through out California to the tip of Baja. I lived this last winter in Baja and it was the perfect bike. It has 24,749 miles and has been maticulously maintained. I just changed the oil and filter. It has aggressive Heidenau tires, rack system, headlight rock guard and too many options to list. Soft Wolfman packs, sheep skin seat cover and Roto gas container DO NOT come with the bike.

French Moto Website Anticipates Versys 1000 at EICMA 2011

Mon, 24 Oct 2011

Musings of a liter-size engined Kawasaki Versys have circulated the web for a few years now, as loyalists of the likable Versys 650, as well as displacement-driven riders waiting in the wings, have pondered the potential of a more powerful adventure bike from Kawasaki that’s in the same league as BMW’s R1200GS and Yamaha’s Super Tenere. Alas, nothing of the sort has ever left the lips of Kawasaki, let alone go into production. Recently, however, the French motorcycle website, Moto-net.com, has produced convincing images that appear like photos of a complete Versys 1000, including matching hard luggage.

BMW is issuing a warning to owners of the 2014 R1200RT with the Dynamic ESA option about a potential defect with the rear suspension. No formal recall has been announced at the moment; BMW is calling it a precautionary measure, though that may change in time or depending on the market. According to BMW, the piston rod of the rear spring strut could break.
