BMW BENDER sidecar description

BENDER sidecar made in Denmark. PLEASE NOTE that this BENDER sidecar is NOT made by BMW who offered Steib sidecars as an option with their own badge on them.  I could not figure how to list this item on eBay and apologize for any confusion. BENDER is a totally independent company. Actual year unknown (late 60s/early 70s but still the older classic look).   Sold with Bill of Sale as sidecars do not have titles.
Basically solid with surface rust that needs to be sand blasted and painted for a cosmetic restoration.
This style of sidecar is becoming hard to find and this one was imported from Europe (2000 euros) and shipped to the West Coast.
Due to certain health issues I am offering this cool sidecar with a very fair reserve as I do not have the energy right now to install it. Comes with some attachments but others may be needed depending on the bike it is mounted to. Nimbus, NSU, Horex, Simson, Zundapp etc,.
You are welcome to visit in Tarzana (San Fernando Valley part of Los Angeles). Please call 818 705 8655.

EICMA 2011 Preview: BMW Maxi-Scooters to Debut in Milan

Fri, 14 Oct 2011

BMW will present its 2012 lineup at the upcoming EICMA show in Milan, Italy, but the centerpiece will be the company’s first maxi-scooters. The German manufacturer is expected to reveal two scooter models, both derived from the Concept C BMW unveiled at the 2010 EICMA show. The two scooters are expected to be powered by a version of the parallel Twin engine used in the F800R, but with a lower displacement in the 500cc-650cc range.

2009 BMW S1000RR Entering Production

Wed, 04 Feb 2009

We’re finally able to share some pictures and info about the production version of BMW’s new literbike, the S1000RR. We now know that it has a claimed dry weight of 403 pounds, which should be competitive with its Japanese literbike rivals. The all-new inline-Four powerplant displaces 999cc, and its cylinder head is said to be very narrow and compact, with the valves actuated by “very small” cam followers that are nearly at Formula 1 levels in size.

EICMA 2013: 2014 BMW nineT First Impressions – Video

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

We were one of two US motorcycle publications to attend the unveiling of the 2014 BMW nineT in Munich a few weeks ago. The unique roadster was designed to both embody and celebrate the 90 years of BMW motorcycles by emphasizing the archetypical form of BMW’s qualities. Now, as part of the EICMA 2013 show, the rest of the world media and the public who are lucky enough to be in Milan get a chance to throw a leg over one.
